Hollidaysburg, PA – Stiffler McGraw, a full service-consulting firm offering
complete civil engineering, surveying and architectural design services is honored to announce one of their shareholders, Cory Gehret, P.E., for being appointed as Treasurer on the Altoona Water Authority Board of Directors at 
last month’s meeting.
The five members of the Altoona Water Authority Board of Directors are appointed by the Altoona City Council and they set policies and guidelines under which the Authority will operate. The board oversees a $33 million annual budget for the largest water and wastewater system between Pittsburgh and Harrisburg, serving twelve municipalities with 75,000 people.
The Altoona Water Authority maintains, operates and secures financing for capital improvements for eleven surface water reservoirs, seven water treatment plants, sixteen water storage tanks, nine pumping stations, 380 miles of transmission main piping, two wastewater treatments plants, two combined sewer overflows, three wastewater pumping stations and 230 miles of sewer main piping.
Cory has been with Stiffler McGraw for fifteen years and oversees the Land Development, Environmental and Transportation Division.
