Project Description: Elevated iron and manganese levels in the authority’s raw water sources triggered PADEP to issue a notice to the Authority requiring them to provide treatment
Project Solution: Construction of a 300,000 gpd Greensand Filtration Plant to filter out the iron and manganese. Project completed in 2008
Project Results: Iron and manganese levels have been reduced to nearly zero. Customers are extremely happy with the project. Quality of life within the service area has drastically improved as a result of the project.
