ARCHITECTURAL JOB CAPTAIN: Stiffler McGraw is seeking a full time Architectural Job Captain to be a member of their full-service Architectural Division. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a strong desire to excel and develop into a leader within the Division.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Function as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment, working on diverse project types of varied size and scope. The successful candidates must possess the following qualifications:
• Work-related experience
• Degree in Architecture or related field
• Proficient in operating Revit and Microsoft Office
• Extensive knowledge of architectural detailing and construction standards
• Strong oral, written, and verbal skills in the English language are required
• Strong organizational skills are required
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Direct Production Team, assign tasks, and allocate resources; facilitate communication among the team regarding project status, objectives, and performance; and address any project issues
• Construction Administration including regular site visits, coordinate the submission of documents to the building department and support construction administration (RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, etc.)
• Interface with clients as directed throughout each project
• Prepare, review, and check all construction documents; coordinate documents with internal team members and external consultants
• Lead field survey teams as needed for development and documentation of existing and as-built conditions
• Maintain, organize, and archive project files during and at the close of a project
• Demonstrate and utilize working knowledge of lighting, HVAC, structural, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical design as well as of relevant codes, including IBC and ADA
• Maintain an awareness and understanding of project schedules and budgets
• Works from design of others and make adjustments necessary to complete work

STRUCTURAL/ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEER: The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
• Degree in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering with an emphasis on
building structures
• Professional Engineer License in Pennsylvania preferred, but not required. If not a licensed P.E., must be on track to receive Licensure
• Experience in detailing construction drawings, sketches and graphic presentation preferred
• Experience in producing detail work for steel, concrete, masonry and wood
structures preferred
• Candidate must be capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
• Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the project architect and engineers, the successful candidate will assist with preparation of conceptual, preliminary, and final client deliverables, including structural and architectural construction documents, specifications and written reports. He or she will prepare project design documentation including contract drawings, coordinate and assist with addenda, manage requests for information and change orders. He or she will assist with building layout, structural design, construction cost estimation, building code compliance reviews, clash detection and overall project coordination. • 10 years of experience in Railroad/Track engineering
