Project Description: This project was the replacement of a structurally deficient and functionally obsolete single-span bridge in the Township of Allegheny, Blair County. The bridge, owned by the Allegheny Township Supervisors, carries Township Road 406 (T-406) over Gillans Run. T-406 is a local road which provides a north-south connection between Maple Hollow Road (T-411), located to the south, and Kuhn Lane (T-415), located to the north. Approximately 310 linear feet of R-6 rip rap stream bank protection with live stake plantings along the both the bases and tops of the stream banks. The bridge was constructed in 2004.
