The Snake Spring Township Municipal Authority (SSTMA) will receive sealed bids from qualified bidders for the New Administration Building and Garage Project until 3:00 p.m. prevailing local time on Monday, May 14, 2018 at the SSTMA office, 624 Pennknoll Road, Everett, PA 15537. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud at the SSTMA board meeting at 7:00 p.m., held at the Snake Spring Township Municipal Building, 373 Pennknoll Road, Everett, PA, for the following contracts:
Contract No. 1: General Construction
Work involves site construction including trenching, grading, some utility installation, oil/water separator, fencing, concrete and asphalt paving; building construction includes concrete retaining/foundation walls, concrete slab-on-grade, wood framing, metal siding and roofing, insulation, man doors, overhead doors, windows, interior partitions, built-in casework, ceilings, flooring, and paint; miscellaneous work to support other contracts as required.
Contract No. 2: HVAC Construction
Work involves the installation of an in-floor hot water radiant heat system and boiler in garage area and a heat-pump forced air ducted system in the administrative areas, as well as general ventilation systems.
Contract No. 3: Plumbing Construction
Work involves installation of plumbing fixtures, wall hydrants, trench drains, copper and pex-type water lines, sanitary lines, traps and vents.
Contract No. 4: Electrical Construction
Work involves installation of a new metered electric service and power distribution system including panels, disconnects, branch circuits and receptacles; installation of LED light fixtures (both interior and exterior) and switching including emergency/exit lighting; miscellaneous work to support other contracts as required.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for Monday, April 23, 2018 at the Snake Spring Township Municipal Building at 10:00 a.m.
Copies of the Contract Documents may be viewed or obtained at the office of Stiffler McGraw Architects, LLC, 1731 North Juniata Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648. Payment for the Contract Documents will be $106.00, which price includes 6% Pennsylvania Sales Tax. Digital Copies are available in PDF format on Compact Disk at a 50% discount of the paper copies cost. All checks should be made payable to Stiffler McGraw Architects, LLC. Payment is non-refundable. A $10.00 ($5.00 for Digital) fee for postage and handling will be required for Contract Documents that are mailed to bidders.
