The Towanda Municipal Authority will receive sealed bids until 6:00 p.m. prevailing local time on the 18th day of March, 2019 at the Towanda Borough Building, 724 Main Street, Towanda, PA 18848 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the following contracts:

Contract 2019- 2: General / Mechanical Work

The Towanda Municipal Authority is proposing the construction of a new water treatment building, installation of two membrane filtration systems, a filter membrane cleaning system, a disinfection clearwell, a wastewater neutralization vault, a backwash waste equalization vault, a backwash wastewater reclamation facility, a sodium hypochlorite storage tank, a generator shelter, a sanitary sewer pumping station, demolition of existing equipment, site work, yard piping, and the installation of all necessary equipment, piping, and appurtenances for operation and control of the new process units and equipment.

Contract 2019 – 3: Electrical Work

Work involves the electrical work associated with the work to be performed in Contract 2019-2, Contract 2019-4, and Contract 2019-5 in addition to SCADA and electrical improvements at various sites throughout the Authority’s system.

Contract 2019 – 4:  HVAC Work

Work involves the construction of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems associated with the work to be performed in Contract 2019-2, Contract 2019-3, and Contract 2019-5.

Contract 2019 – 5: Plumbing Work

Work involves the construction of sanitary drainage, storm drainage, and potable water piping/fixtures associated with the work to be performed in Contract 2019-2, Contract 2019-3, and Contract 2019-4.

Faxed bids will not be accepted.

Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of Stiffler, McGraw & Associates, Inc., 1731 North Juniata Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648. Payment for the Contract Documents will be $318.00 for, which price includes 6% Pennsylvania Sales Tax.  Digital Copies are available in PDF format on Compact Disk at a 50% discount of the paper copies cost.  All checks should be made payable to Stiffler, McGraw & Associates, Inc.  Fee is non-refundable.  A $20.00 ($10.00 for Digital) fee for postage and handling will be required for Contract Documents that are mailed to bidders.

A non-mandatory Pre-bid conference is scheduled for Wednesday, February 20th, 2019 at the Borough Office at the address listed above at 10:00 a.m.
