NEW ALBANY BOROUGH – FAWCETT AVE. & LAWRENCE STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

Sealed Bids for the construction of three improvement projects in New Albany Borough, including Fawcett Avenue Bridge Rehabilitation, Fawcett Avenue Pipe Replacement, and Lawrence Street Pipe Replacement, will be accepted until 3:00 PM, April 18, 2018 at the Bradford County Commissioners Office, at the Bradford County Court House, 301 Main Street, Towanda Pennsylvania, 18848. Proposals will be publicly opened April 18, 2018 at the New Albany Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall, 134 Main Street, New Albany, PA 18833 at 7:00 PM prevailing time. Proposals shall be on the forms required, sealed and clearly marked on the outside, “NEW ALBANY BOROUGH FAWCETT AVENUE AND LAWRENCE STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT,” and submitted to Bradford County Commissioners Office, Bradford County Court House, 301 Main Street, Towanda, PA 18848.

Proposals that are faxed or emailed to the Bradford County Commissioners Office cannot be accepted.

Please be advised that Bradford County does not receive early morning delivery for overnight mail.

The Fawcett Avenue Bridge Rehabilitation Project includes underpinning of the Fawcett Avenue Bridge over Ladd’s Creek east abutment to repair undermining and stabilization of the rock slope adjacent to the southwest wingwall. The Fawcett Avenue Pipe Replacement includes replacement of a corrugated metal pipe under Fawcett Avenue and masonry end wall with a new plastic pipe and Type D end wall, with connection to existing plastic pipe at the downstream end. The Lawrence Street Pipe Replacement includes replacement of existing metal and plastic pipe and inlet with new plastic pipe, concrete inlet with grate, and plastic end wall. The system will tie into the existing stormwater system at the Lawrence Street intersection with U.S. 220. Associated erosion and sediment pollution control, traffic control, and miscellaneous site work is included.
