GREEN VALLEY CONTRACT GC-1 & GC-2 CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS – HOUSING AUTHORITY OF INDIANA COUNTY

The Housing Authority of Indiana County (the Housing Authority) will receive sealed bids for Capital Fund Program – PA28P04850118 – Contract GC-1; Green Valley Parking Lot Paving, Sidewalk and Fence Replacement Project and Contract GC-2; Green Valley Front Door, Windows and Kitchen Replacement Project located in Commodore, PA until 9:00 a.m. local prevailing time on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at the Housing Authority’s Administrative Office, 104 Philadelphia Street, Indiana, PA 15701, at which time and place the Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the General Construction contracts for the projects. Bids must be sealed and shall be marked as follows:

Capital Fund Program – PA28P04850118; Contract GC-1
Green Valley Parking Lot Paving, Sidewalk and Fence Replacement Project
Bid Documents – General Construction
Attn: Dr. Bonni S. Dunlap, Executive Director

Green Valley Door, Window and Kitchen Replacement Project

The name and address of the Contractor submitting the bid should also be clearly labeled on the outside of each bid envelope.

The Prime Contracts consist of the following: Contract GC-1 – Milling and pavement overlay of the parking lot areas and Douglas Street shoulder areas, removal and replacement of all sidewalk and chain link fencing at the facility and Contract GC-2 – Removal and replacement of all screen doors and entry doors, removal and replacement of all windows, removal and replacement of kitchen cabinets, sinks and range hoods and repair to second floor bathroom flooring units in the residential units at 171, 195, 221 and 245 Douglas Street, Commodore, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.

A complete set of Bidding Documents may be reviewed and obtained at the office of the Consultant, Stiffler – McGraw and Associates by appointment at the Indiana Office – Suite 001 Old Borough Hall, 39 N. 7th Street, Indiana, PA 15701. Please call (724) 717-6925 to schedule a time. Bidding Documents are also available at the Hollidaysburg Office – 1731 N. Juniata Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648 beginning on January 25, 2019 Only a Contractor obtaining Bid Documents from the Consultant will be considered to be a registered bidder.

The Bidding Documents are available for purchase by Prime Contract Bidders for the non-refundable sum of $50.00 or a digital set of bidding documents are available in pdf format for the sum of $25.00 per CD with all checks made payable to “Stiffler – McGraw and Associates”. Incomplete sets of Bidding Documents will not be issued. A non-refundable postage and handling charge of $10.00 per printed set and $5.00 per CD will be added for each set or CD that is mailed to Bidders. Payment must be received before documents will be released. The Housing Authority and Consultant assume no responsibility for delay or loss due to mailing.

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and Project Review will be held to answer questions on Scope of Work, and to familiarize bidders with existing conditions, site location, and other relevant information.  Conference will be held at the project site, 171 Douglas Street Commodore, PA at 9:00 a.m. local prevailing time on Wednesday, February 6, 2019.
